Welcome Baby!

Hi everyone, well I am now back from my short break on the Bellarine Peninsular in Victoria. It was good to be away with my family for a few days and the weather we had was just beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me how much you have to pack for a little one though, even just for a few days! I have to say it's nice to be home. My hubby is now back at work and daughter #1 is back at kinder... so I have a little time to get creative whilst daughter #2 naps!

Here are a some cute baby cards I made recently. As you can see they each feature a pram, which I die-cut using a Sizzix die, then dressed them up with a little lace and ribbon and mounted them onto coordinating papers. The sentiments were also die-cut using the Provo Craft 'Welcome Baby' die.

I am about to attempt another style of baby card using a cute duckling stamp and papers from October Afternoon - I'll post a picture soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great day :)

Cardmaking Online - Male Birthday card

Hello again! Here's a male birthday card I have made for Cardmaking Online. It features the Marianne Design Creatables T Ford car die, which I just love.

The die comes in two parts - front and rear view of the car.

And here's how I used it...

As you can see I used both the front and rear view dies in my card (the rear view was used on the inside of the card). If you'd like to find out how I made it pop on over to the Cardmaking Online blog where you'll find instructions and a supplies list.

Well, off on my hols this week so I'll endeavour to share a new project in a week or so. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Cardmaking Online - Wedding Card

Here is my second project on behalf of Cardmaking Online - a pretty wedding card featuring a Le Suh 'bride & groom' 3D decoupage centre piece. The decoupage is framed on one side with flowers and leaves die-cut using Marianne Design Creatables Dies, white satin hearts and Marianne Design pink ribbon flowers. I heat embossed the leaves with clear embossing powder and adorned them with KARS green adhesive jewels, which sparkle beautifully when the light catches them.  I embossed a large purple and pink flower then fussy cut it, coloured it with Copic markers and decorated it with Stickles, Glossy Accents 3D medium and a KARS purple adhesive jewel at the centre.

If you're interested in any of the products I have used in making this card please refer to the supplies list below. Many of the products are available via the Cardmaking Online website. I've also included step-by-step instructions on how I made this card below.

White card, KARS Glitter Card - silver, Mirri Card - pink mica, Bazzill card - lilac, pink, bright green and dark green, white/silver swirl paper, grey vellum and pink/silver felt
Sizzix Embossing Folder - spring flowers
Satin love hearts - white
Palette Stamp & Stick gluepad - clear
Stickles - star dust
Brads - white (or you could use Kaisercraft Pearl Brad Pack - pearl)

1. Assemble the 3D die-cut floral centre piece using Joy! foam squares and round the corners using the Fiskars corner punch as shown in photo 1.

2.  Cut a piece of white/silver swirl paper to 160mmx140mm and round the corners using the corner punch. Cut a piece of KARS sliver glitter card to 100mm x 115mm and round the corners. Cut a piece of shiny pink card to 140mm x 55mm and emboss using the cArt-Us embossing folder and your die-cutting machine. Adhere all three pieces to a white base card (150mm x 170mm) using double-sided tape as shown in photo 2.

4. Emboss two flowers using lilac and pink Bazzill card and the Sizzix embossing folder. Fussy cut the entire flower out of the lilac card and the inside of the flower out of the pink card. Colour the petals using lilac and pink markers and decorate with Stickles, Glossy Accents and add a KARS purple adhesive jewel to the centre of the pink flower as shown in photo 4.

5. Die-cut four leaves in the bright and dark green Bazzill card (two leaves in each shade of green) using the leaves die from the Marianne Design Creatables Stencil frames/leaves set. Emboss the leaves using clear Zing Embossing Powder as shown in photo 5, then adorn the leaves with KARS green adhesive jewels.

6. Die-cut four flowers from the grey vellum and pink/silver felt using the two smallest dies from the Marianne Design Creatables Die flower set. Secure the flowers in the centre with a white brad. Cut two pink roses from the Marianne Design Flower Ribbon and assemble all the flowers and leaves together with the white satin hearts as shown in photo 6.

*** I used double-sided tape to adhere the flowers and hearts and Sakura Quickie Glue pin point roller to adhere the leaves***
